Suddenly, the aroma... There are flowers that seem to hold light. Yellow is one of the first colors to appear when spring begins to emerge. And one of the last to remain before winter fades almost everything out. Inspired by @alternativephotography_com’s proposal to introduce color, I’ve started exploring cyanotype duotones. Shepherd’s Purse(Capsella bursa-pastoris) is small and persistent, easy to overlook. Chicory (Cichorium intybus) grows quietly along the roadsides, unnoticed yet resilient. It’s been a while since I last updated this space, as I’ve been deeply engaged with my project Between the Visible and the Latent. This series explores wild herbs through cyanotypes on transparent paper, later used as negatives, as a way of thinking about translation. This year, I also explored different formats and ways of presenting my work: framed pieces without background, small prints, and mobiles that sway softly as people walk by. This time, I wanted to create something truly special: a series of botanical cyanotypes inspired by the wild plants that quietly shape the landscape of Meerbusch. These species are small and modest, yet deeply rooted in the paths I walk every day.
