Artist Statement

My work explores the transformations of identity through migration: what fragments, what adapts, and the new ways of recognizing ourselves that emerge from living between languages and territories.

I work with alternative photographic processes because they allow me to engage with uncertainty, where the process carries as much weight as the image itself. Paper, with its texture and fragility, is an essential part of the work. Cyanotype holds a central place in my practice for its blue tones and handcrafted quality, while instant photography brings me closer to intimacy and the fragmented nature of memory.

My scientific background remains present in my attention to small details: wild plants, everyday gestures, and traces of presence. Language is also a central element in my work; between my mother tongue and an adopted language, new limits, displacements, and ways of naming experience emerge.

Through image-making, I investigate how identity is constructed and transformed in transit, understanding artistic practice as a form of observation, reconstruction, and belonging.
